In Prague, during the Game Studies pre-conference, I learned a lot about Pokémon Go and other kinds of pervasive gaming. Including research from Sharon Steinemann (Basel) who studies games in local civic engagement campaigns. My colleague Teresa de la Hera found an interested audience for the theoretical model she developed as part of our Persuasive Gaming in Context project. The small precon was a good opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow researchers from a recent and a more distant past.
