People mimic emotions. We all do. It works as a social glue to copy the emotional state of the other. In some cases people do not mimic at all. Rather the opposite, by throwing bombs for example. I am really proud (and a bit envious on the side) that my learned wife Agneta Fischer published a very interesting new book in collaboration with Ursula Hess (Berlin): Emotional Mimicry in Social Context. At Cambridge University Press. We celebrate!
